HitBall players have started pilot projects in South Africa, using the game as an aid to physical/mental fitness and anger/stress release.

A pro-am is a lot of fun. Two players per side, one a deadly master of the ring. The other, a local hero. Hot side-bet action.

Hitball is now played in Gyms - a logical extension from kaibo, boxercise, taiboxakiyogalates and other exercise classes based on martial arts movement.

A squash court proves to be an interesting environment. Easy to rig - stick-on hooks work great. Plays intensely - requiring serious speed to handle high speed reflections off the walls.

Police HitBall

The perp gets an edge on the cop.

A pilot project undertaken with the South African Police has indicated great potential benefit to the physical fitness of players, with no injuries, meaning less downtime than say boxers or rugby players.

The intense practice in makng fast strategic decisions under severe pressure was regarded as very beneficial by participants.

Participants reported great improvements in managing their anger and stress levels.

Hitball is clearly of great benefit to police and security professionals, and we would like to do a lot more.
